DJ Kiino Villand

Finding it difficult to DJ his own photo shoots, photographer/director Kiino Villand takes every opportunity to get behind the turntables when not behind the lens. He’ll be setting the mood on opening night of Swerve Festival as well as the awards ceremony.

His fashion work and portraits of the cultural cognoscenti have appeared in publications such as Anthem, i-D, Grand Royal, V-Life, Tokion, Entertainment Weekly, ELLE and W. Collectors of his photography include Eddie Cruz (Stussy/Union/Undefeated) and Peter Morton (Hard Rock Hotel & Casino/Morton’s West Hollywood).

Developing his love for telling stories, his directorial debut is a documentary on drummer Jose Medeles of The Breeders. Look for the DVD, called Meaning and Rhetoric, on the next Breeders tour.
