Listening Trees

The inspiration for the listening trees came when I was walking down a street in Los Angeles and noticed that someone had thrown a pair of old broken headphones into a tree. They were dangling over the sidewalk just about eye-level as I passed by. I thought to myself, “Wouldn’t it be awesome if there was actually music playing through those things?” The hope is that while experiencing the Listening Tree, one will be completely enveloped in the music, forget his/ her surroundings and become one with the tree. – Aaron Rose, Art Show Curator
