Andrew Paynter

Born and raised in North Carolina, lived among New York City, Los Angeles and San Francisco, Andrew Paynter began taking photographs by the influence of his grandfather, who snapped photos as a soldier in the British army. Focusing on creative groups and communities, Paynter has dedicated his attention to documenting and revealing the lives and works of several artists, musicians and writers, many whom are involved in this festival. Paynter, like most craftsmen, works within several film camera formats for stills as well as motion picture super 8 and 16mm.
