Jesse Spears

Los Angeles-based artist Jesse Spears grew up in and artistic family in Pasadena, California. She loves fruit and fruity colors, plants and painted signs. She used to watch her mom outline characters for Disney stories and wanted to be able to outline as good as her. Her only motivation for going to school was looking at cute boys. Spears graduated high school with 169 absences, dropped out of CalArts and moved to Hawaii where she worked with her father painting signs and murals. She has also helped her mother and step dad paint rides, floats, and fake bamboo at Disneyland. On her own she has exhibited her work around Los Angeles and recently executed a full-size wall mural at Los Angeles’ infamous underground/punk/experimental club “The Smell”. Spears is very fond of Guns N Roses and Alice Cooper and wants to be friends with Nicole Richie.
